ALL STATES

Employees across all states can enjoy nine days away by using just four days of leave over Australia Day on January 27.
The public holiday falls on a Monday in 2025, meaning if you take four extra days off (January 28 to January 31), you can enjoy a nine-day break from January 25 to February 2.
Easter and ANZAC Day are also close together in 2025, with Good Friday falling on April 18, Easter Monday on April 21 and ANZAC Day on April 25.
Therefore, employees can take a 16-day break by using only seven days of leave between April 12 and April 27.
You can wrap up 2025 with another lengthy break over Christmas.
Here, employees could be off for 16 days from December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, while dipping into their leave balance by just seven days.

Those in Western Australia who have saved a little additional time off for 2025 could take as much as 59 days off using just 24 days of annual leave. This would include taking four days off around West Australian Day (June 2) to make for a nine-day break from May 31 to June 8.
