This means that if you find a flight with another airline or a Jetstar flight on an eligible third-party website that's cheaper than what you see on Jetstar.com, Jetstar will beat it by 10%.
There are some conditions to this, but it means that if you see cheaper direct flights at comparable times on another airline you could instead fly Jetstar for 10% less.

How the Jetstar Price Beat Guarantee Works

To show you the benefits of this hack, let’s look at some practical examples.
Let’s say you want to fly from Melbourne to Cairns on Friday, June 20, 2025.
At the time of writing, we found a Virgin Australia seat on sale for $132 one-way, departing at 4.20 pm.
Jetstar also had a direct afternoon flight that day for $161 one-way, departing at 5.20 pm.
In this situation, you could use the Jetstar Price Guarantee to fly to Cairns on Jetstar for only $118.80 – 10% cheaper than the Virgin Australia offering and a saving of $42.20 on Jetstar’s normal price.
Here’s another example of an international route.
Say you want to fly from Sydney to Denpasar (Bali) on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
At the time of writing, we found a direct flight on Malaysian carrier Batik Air for $339 one-way, departing at 7.20 am.
Jetstar also had a direct flight to Bali that morning for $402 one-way, departing at 6.15 am.
In this scenario, you could hop aboard that Jetstar flight for just $305.10 – 10% less than the Batik Air offering.

Using a flight comparison website like Google Flights is a quick and easy way to compare prices across different airlines, including Jetstar.

Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for the Price Beat Guarantee, there are a few conditions that must be met, which are:

Comparable Fare: The competitor flight must be on another airline or a Jetstar flight on an eligible third-party website.
Same Route: The airports of origin and destination must be identical.
Direct and One-Way: The flight must be direct and one-way.
Not a Membership Fare: The fare must not be a membership or frequent flyer fare.
Currently Available: The competitor flight must be currently available to the general public.
Same Currency: The fare must be in the same currency and offered online.
Within One Hour: For domestic flights, both flights must leave within one hour of each other.
Same Calendar Day: For international flights, the flights must be within the same calendar day.

The final two conditions are the most important to remember, especially regarding domestic flights.
Any competitor flight you want to beat must be scheduled to depart within one hour of the Jetstar flight.

Find a price for a comparable flight on another airline or on an eligible third-party website by using a comparison website like Google Flights.
Head to the Jetstar Price Beat Guarantee page online.
Click the ‘Apply Now’ button and fill in the required details, such as the airports, date, and time of the Jetstar flight you want to beat.
Jetstar will verify the comparison and if your request is eligible, you'll need to book and pay for your discounted Jetstar flight immediately.
